Kyle Ryde won a dramatic and red-flagged Race 1 of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Thruxton Circuit on 15 August 2026. The reigning champion took his 13th victory of the 2026 season, extending his championship lead over Scott Redding to 37 points. The 20-lap race was cut short and red-flagged on lap 17. A heavy crash occurred when Max Cook made contact with Leon Haslam exiting the final chicane. Cook was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital for assessment. Because the red flag stopped the race early, the final results were taken from the last completed lap. Rory Skinner claimed second place to secure his first podium finish of the year, and Ryan Vickers finished third.
