Campos Racing driver Noel León claimed his maiden Formula 2 Feature Race victory at the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix weekend after capitalising on a perfectly timed strategic pit stop. León started from third on the grid and initially seized second place from Rafael Câmara at Turn 1. Pole-sitter Kush Maini dominanty led the opening stint of the 37-lap race. On Lap 17, León dove into the pit lane for his mandatory tyre swap just moments before a Virtual Safety Car (VSC) was deployed for Rafael Villagómez’s stopped car. Because León entered the pits under normal green-flag conditions, his stop was fully valid under F2 regulations. He effectively gained massive time over Maini, who had to pit later under green, inheriting a lead he defended until the chequered flag.
