Ruben "R.J." Alaniz (born June 14, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds. Professional career Alaniz was born in McAllen, Texas and attended Juarez-Lincoln High School in La Joya, Texas.
