The 2011 Turkish Motocross Championship 65cc was Deniz's first taste of competitive racing action aged just eight and, not for the last time, he finished runner-up to his brother in the overall championship. Deniz landed the overall title in the European Supermoto Championship 85cc in 2015 (on a KTM SX 85) and having produced back-to-back top-four finishes in the Rookies Cup the step up to Moto3 would appear to be the next step on his path to becoming a world champion. In 2019 Deniz will continue in Moto3 Juniors and after his 16th birthday in July 2019 he'll be eligible for wild card appearances in the full Moto 3 World Championship. Away from the race track, Deniz enjoys more two-wheeled fun with his brother, riding BMX and MTB and his racing hero is Marc Márquez.
