Ben Dörr won a chaotic Race 2 at the Sachsenring, securing the second DTM victory of his career for Dörr Motorsport and McLaren. The race was defined by highly unpredictable weather conditions, which left the racing line damp but drying. While polesitter Maro Engel initially led on a wet track, 21-year-old Dörr took a massive strategic gamble by starting from 4th on slick tyres. The bold move paid off massively in the opening laps as the track dried out. Dörr managed multiple safety car restarts flawlessly to maintain a wide margin until the finish line.
