Bradley Ray won Race 1 of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park. Riding for McAMS Yamaha, Ray fought his way through a multi-rider battle to take his second victory of the season. Kyle Ryde finished in second place after an impressive charge from 10th on the grid, while Leon Haslam completed the podium in third. Pole Sitter's Heartbreak: Max Cook, who broke the all-time Oulton Park lap record during qualifying to take pole position, crashed heavily at Cascades on lap 16 while running in fifth place.
