19 July 2026 – Champagnole to Plateau de Solaison, 183.9 km (114.3 mi) Moving south to the mountains in the Jura and French Alps, stage 15 took riders from Champagnole to a summit finish at Plateau de Solaison over a 183.9 km (114.3 mi) course. Four categorised climbs were featured – two third-category climbs, the first-category Le Salève - Col de la Croisette (4.6 km at an average gradient of 11.2%) and the hors catégorie ascent to the summit finish at Plateau de Solaison (11.3 km at an average gradient of 9%, with the finish at an elevation of 1,508 m (4,948 ft)). A major development during the stage was the withdrawal of two-time Tour winner Jonas Vingegaard, who crashed about 24 km (15 mi) from the finish. He left the course in an ambulance after race doctors put his right arm in a sling. He was later diagnosed with a fractured collarbone that would require surgery to repair.
