Kyle Ryde won Race 1 of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch. The race was declared early and ended with a red flag with two laps remaining. Ryde held off Scott Redding for the win, with the pair having broken away from the rest of the field. The opening race of the weekend at the Kent circuit was a thrilling two-way fight. Scott Redding, riding the Hager PBM Racing Team bike, launched an attack and overtook Ryde earlier in the race, but Ryde reclaimed the lead at Paddock Hill Bend at the start of lap 15. Shortly after, the red flag came out, securing the victory for the reigning champion.
