Nicola Lacorte claimed a historic maiden victory in the 2026 Formula 3 Monza Feature Race on 6 September 2026, delivering a sensational home win and the first-ever F3 victory for DAMS Lucas Oil. Polesitter and championship leader Freddie Slater suffered an issue on Lap 13, forcing him to lose his right-rear wheel and retire from the race. Slater's closest title rival, Ugo Ugochukwu, was spun to the very back of the field (P29) on the opening lap following contact with a teammate. He staged a spectacular comeback to finish 8th, bringing him within 15 points of Slater's championship lead. Lacorte became the record-breaking 13th different winner of the highly volatile 2026 Formula 3 season.
