Gabriele Minì won the 2026 Formula 2 Sprint Race at the Hungaroring after a dramatic collision between the race leaders reshaped the podium. Sebastian Montoya led from pole position with Gabriele Minì closely chasing. On Lap 17, Minì overtook Montoya for the lead. Four laps later, championship leader Nikola Tsolov tried to pass Montoya for second, resulting in a collision that forced both drivers to retire. Minì secured maximum points and the fastest lap, cutting Tsolov's championship lead down to 16 points.
