The Shanghai E-Prix is an annual race in the FIA Formula E World Championship, an all-electric single-seater racing series. The race was held for the first time at the Shanghai International Circuit on 25 May 2024. The second race of the Shanghai double-header featured a chaotic, rain-affected start and a dramatic final sprint after a late Full Course Yellow car period. Lucas di Grassi won Round 13 of the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix on Sunday 5 July 2026, driving an incredible comeback race. The Lola Yamaha ABT team driver started way back from 19th place on the grid. He used a clever strategy on a drying track to storm through the field. He grabbed the lead on the final lap to take his first Formula E victory since 2022.
