Nicki Thiim won the dramatic and eventful DTM Norisring Race 1 on 4 July 2026, securing his second career DTM victory and the first-ever win for Aston Martin in the series' GT3 era. The race took place on Nuremberg's famous, bumpy temporary city street circuit. Driving for Comtoyou Racing, Thiim started from pole position, successfully defended his lead into the tight Turn 1 hairpin, and controlled the race despite intense pressure and carrying success ballast from the previous round.
