Marc Marquez won a chaotic 2026 Spanish MotoGP Sprint race at Jerez on Saturday, 25 April, in the first-ever "flag-to-flag" sprint in the format's history. Despite crashing out of second place as rain intensified with five laps remaining, Marquez remounted, swapped to his wet-weather bike, and surged back to take his 17th career sprint victory. The race saw a factory Ducati 1-2 finish, while championship leader Marco Bezzecchi and title contender Jorge Martin both failed to finish due to a crash and technical issues, respectively.
