The Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, as part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. Between 2022 and 2026, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is due to host at least three Grands Prix. Fabio Di Giannantonio won the highly chaotic 2026 MotoGP Catalonia Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The race was hit by two red flags and massive post-race tyre pressure penalties. First Start: On lap 12, Pedro Acosta's KTM lost power. Álex Márquez struck him from behind, sparking a severe crash. Marquez’s bike tore apart, and an errant wheel hit Di Giannantonio. Álex Márquez was taken to the hospital but remained conscious. Second Start: The race was instantly stopped again at Turn 1. Johann Zarco, Luca Marini, and Francesco Bagnaia collided. Zarco was taken to the hospital for left leg checks. Final Restart: Reduced to a 12-lap dash, VR46 Racing Team's Di Giannantonio claimed his first MotoGP win since 2023.
