The intermediate class took to the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiânia for a high-speed showdown under the Brazilian sun. The primary challenge for the 2026 grid was a newly surfaced track that demanded precise throttle control to manage tire degradation over the 26-lap distance. For polesitter Daniel Holgado, the objective was to convert his qualifying dominance into a first victory of the season, while the tactical priority for his teammate David Alonso was to recover quickly from a front-row start after struggling with launch consistency in practice. Strategically, the race was a battle of attrition and slipstreaming. The objective for the lead group was to break the tow early to avoid a multi-rider brawl on the long start-finish straight. With temperatures soaring to 30°C, the goal for the field was to preserve the rear Pirelli tires for a late-race charge.
