Manuel Gonzalez won the 2026 Moto2 San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The Intact GP rider capitalized on an aggressive opening lap to secure his fifth victory of the season and extend his championship lead. The race was defined by a massive Turn 1 crash involving the entire front row. Rookie Angel Piqueras made an error into the first corner, taking down polesitter Senna Agius and Daniel Holgado. Collin Veijer inherited the early lead before Gonzalez passed him on Lap 5. Gonzalez managed his pace cleanly to pull away and cross the finish line over two seconds clear of Veijer. Barry Baltus held onto third place despite serving a long-lap penalty for track limits.
