The second round of the 2026 Al Ain Championship has been officially cancelled, following the MENA Tour’s decision to terminate the remainder of the 2025–26 season. Originally scheduled as "Moving Day" at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, the round was set to determine the final pairings for the season’s rankings title. However, the strategic narrative was cut short by the broadening regional conflict, which has led to widespread airspace closures and significant security risks across the UAE and the wider Gulf region. The headline story for Round 2 was intended to be the high-pressure battle between Order of Merit leader Chris Wood and the local favorite Ahmad Skaik. Instead, the tournament venue remains silent as tour officials prioritize the safety of players and staff. This cancellation follows the same pattern as the Jordan and Qatar legs, confirming that the tour will not crown an Al Ain champion this year. Strategically, the MENA Tour has shifted its focus to a "force majeure" conclusion, with the final season standings likely to be frozen based on the results from the Morocco and Egypt swings.
